Yeah. I know. GTA 6 is still on the list of crime games without a PC release date. GTA 5, however, is available on PC and has long been the place where people who love Rockstar’s crime sandboxes so much that they want to pretend to live in them jump into a GTA role-playing game. Rockstar also seems to be sticking to Guh Tuh Ah Vuh for this sort of thing in the near future, as they are currently touting a new version of the modded role-playing game servers run by Nopixel Studios.

Nopixel V is the latest release of the Rockstar-backed studio’s GTA role-playing sandbox, which fills the vanilla foundations of the city with new buildings and locations where people can pretend to play the jobs or roles they’ve chosen for their characters. This iteration adds things like a hotel and casino dubbed Pixel and remaps a big chuck from the Cypress Flats industrial area. It also features reworked character customization mechanics, pedestrians more likely to react when run over, and new missions for role players.
This sounds cool, especially since other GTAs aren’t on their way to PC yet. For now, though, it seems like all most people will be able to do is watch established GTA role-players try their hand at it. The September 8 closed beta mentioned by Rockstar is limited to guest players and streamerswhose characters seem to have names like Dark Suckaberg, Vin Petrol, and, uh, Zuck Cuck. To be clear, the former and the latter are two separate people, and it’s not clear from their card artwork on Nopixel’s website whether these are the bizarre Facebook-type variations that those names suggest.
So, for now, all you can do is eliminate any feelings of jealousy, sit back in the Cuck chair, and watch someone stream this “next evolution”, as Rockstar imagines it.
At least you can feel safe knowing that this is another sign that seems to indicate that there won’t be a GTA 6 Online for us PC users to miss any time soon.
