A Canadian citizen previously reported missing in flash floods in Nepal has been found safe, Global Affairs Canada said in an update on Wednesday.
The agency said it is aware of 29 other Canadians and permanent residents of Nepal and Tibet, whose whereabouts remain unknown.
“This number may fluctuate as new information becomes available and as officials are able to communicate with people in affected areas,” the agency said.
She added that the search for missing persons continues despite the treacherous conditions and damaged infrastructure.
Nepal Police asks families of missing individuals to share any information about Canadian, foreign or local phone numbers of their missing loved ones, as this may help with geolocation.

Efforts are also being made to collect DNA samples to assist in identification efforts; Those needing to provide samples will be contacted directly by Global Affairs.
Canada The organization is sending more than 18,000 kits to Nepal from its emergency stock, including shelters, tools, hygiene products and solar lights.
It also provided $5 million in funding to support emergency relief efforts in Nepal.
The Nepalese Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that 324 foreign nationals had been rescued, while 590 others from 39 countries were still missing after the August 26 floods.
At least 1,204 people were killed, and more than 4,200 others were missing, according to the country’s disaster management agency.
