8 people were killed in Russian raids on Ukraine, and a maternity clinic was damaged G trends

Russian drone and missile attacks on the Ukrainian capital Kiev and its northeast killed eight people on Thursday in attacks that included a maternity hospital and a farm, officials said.

Moscow has intensified its air war in recent months, deploying more of its faster and harder-to-stop drones, while Ukraine lacks interceptor missiles to shoot down ballistic missiles.

Two people were killed in the recent attack on Kiev, according to President Volodymyr Zelensky, who was in New York to attend UN General Assembly meetings.

“While people were sleeping, flashes of explosions lit up the sky,” Zelensky said via the Telegram app. “Once again, the main targets of their strike were Kiev, civil infrastructure, residential buildings, maternity hospital, energy infrastructure and logistics.”
