A man armed with a knife killed a priest and wounded four other people during an attack on clergy and worshipers at a Benedictine monastery in southern Poland on Thursday, authorities said.
The prosecutor said the man used a knife he took from the kitchen there to attack a woman and four men, including a priest who was in the confessional.
Local media reported that the attack occurred in a monastery for Benedictine nuns on the grounds of the monastery in Jaroslav.
A 31-year-old Ukrainian man was arrested, said Bozena Harasz and Lozin from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Przemysl.
