Ederson breaks silence on Manchester United’s failed medical: “I honestly don’t know what happened” G Trends

Ederson has spoken publicly about the collapse of his move to Manchester United, which collapsed last month amid medical concerns.

The Brazilian midfielder looked set to be United’s first signing of the summer when the Red Devils agreed a deal with Atalanta in June.

But United then canceled the deal, prompting Ederson to sign a new contract with the Serie A side.

Since then, United have added extensively to their midfield, bringing in Andre Santos and Youri Tielemans, while also preparing to sign Carlos Paleba from Brighton & Hove Albion.

However, Ederson is still unsure why he did not move to Old Trafford.

“Honestly, I don’t know what happened,” Ederson said before the match. “I always had interest from other clubs, and I could have gone to another English team.” Atalanta will face Hapoel Tel Aviv in the playoff round of the Conference League.

“The tests went well, I don’t know what’s changed. I’ve been with Atalanta for four years and have always played.

“I could have waited and seen, but the great relationship with the club convinced me to stay and sign a new contract.

“I had beautiful moments when I went to the World Cup with Brazil, and after that… I still don’t know what happened to be honest.

“But the important thing is that I was able to deal with the situation and come back with the right mentality and give everything I have to the club that has given me so much.

“I’m still Ederson, everyone here knows me and knows what I can do, and they know that I will always give my best.”
