Barcelona 5-2 Rayo Vallecano: Report, result and goals in light of the five-star blaugrana riot G Trends

Barcelona came from behind to beat Rayo Vallecano 5-2 at Camp Nou, with Rafinha scoring twice and Lamin Yamal also netting as Hansi Flick’s side continued their strong start to the La Liga season.

Rayo surprised the hosts when Sergio Camilo converted Alvaro Garcia’s pass in the 12th minute, but Barcelona responded through Rafinha seven minutes later.

Yamal completed the conversion in the 21st minute, cutting in from the right flank before curling a stunning shot into the top corner.

It seemed that Barcelona had added the third goal before the end of the first half when Jules Kounde followed Anthony Gordon’s shot, but the video assistant referee canceled the goal due to offside.

The hosts did not have to wait long after the start of the second half to restore their two-goal advantage, although this time the goal came from a Rayo player as Florian Lejeune turned Gordon’s effort into his own net.

But Rayo refused to leave, and Camilo scored his second goal with a header in the 59th minute from a corner kick taken by Unai Lopez.

Barcelona struck again in the 71st minute. Gordon raced to get the ball over the top before showing excellent awareness to put it back into the path of Rafinha, who finished from the left side of the penalty area to make it 4-2.

Yamal then put the result beyond doubt in the 90th minute, curling a stunning left-footed shot into the bottom corner after Karim Adeyemi’s pass.
