Miss Austria Lucia Cecic has died at the age of 22.
The Austria Mission announced the news on Her official page on Facebook“It is with great shock and deep sadness that we learned of the death of Miss Austria 2024, Lucia Cisic,” he wrote.
The post added: “We will remember Lucia as a wonderful young woman. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with her family, friends and everyone close to her during this difficult time. Dear Lucia, you will always be part of the Miss Austria family.”
The leaflet of Mission Austria, the organization responsible for selecting the winner of the competition, was signed by CEO Kirsten Rieger and her husband Jörg.
The official cause of death has not been announced.
Cisic was crowned Miss Austria 2024 and won the title, as no other competitions were held after her victory, according to local media. Al-Taj newspaper.
Cecic had a heart valve defect since birth, and underwent multiple operations throughout her life, according to the outlet.
