Dancing with the stars Judge Carrie Ann Inaba revealed what she would have said Giada De Laurentiis And Alan Bersten if she didn’t have to stick to the one-word criticism rule.
“I was sad that I didn’t have a chance to say more on air,” Inaba, 58, wrote on Threads on Thursday, September 24. “So I’ll leave it here: Seeing Giada dance as a true and complete beginner was inspiring and I commend her for her courage.”
Praising the chef’s dedication, Inaba added: “What I think makes her so special is the grounded honesty she has expressed throughout this journey, while at the same time expressing pure joy and joy in learning something new. It’s wonderfully liberating to step out of your comfort zone, but only because it’s also absolutely terrifying. Bravo ❤️.”
De Laurentiis, 56, and Bersten, 32, were eliminated from DWTS Season 35 on Tuesday, September 22, after their salsa received just 12 points out of a possible 30. (Tuesday’s episode sparked some backlash from viewers who were frustrated by the decision to allow only two judges per pair to provide feedback – while the third was only allowed to say one word.)
“I did my best, but it wasn’t good enough,” De Laurentiis told the audience at the end of the evening. “But I did my best.”
The Food Network personality went into more detail about her brief stay in the ballroom in an Instagram video shared on Wednesday, September 23, saying, “I just wanted to take a moment and thank everyone for their support on this journey on Dancing With the Stars. And all the moms who shared their stories. It was really, really, really inspiring.”
