Ella Langley appears to be clapping back after a fan made this claim Riley Green took credit for her rise to stardom.

While some fans didn’t think much of Green’s comments – and some pointed out that his dry humor had simply been misinterpreted – others claimed he was patting himself on the back for their success after the former tourmates collaborated on 2024’s “You Look Like You Love Me” and 2025’s “Don’t Mind If I Do.”

During a recent one Instagram LiveLangley apparently responded to Green’s alleged dig after a fan asked her, “When Riley acknowledged your success on The Voice, did that rub you the wrong way?!”
The “Choosin’ Texas” singer didn’t immediately respond to the question, but she appeared to be reading the comments in real time while getting her makeup done.
Finally, Langley replied, “Yes, when this man got recognition, no, he didn’t like it. But typical.”
Although she didn’t specifically mention Green, many fans viewed the remark as a response to the country singer.

The exchange came after eagle-eyed fans recently noticed that Langley no longer followed Green on Instagram. However, Green is still following his former employee as of Monday, October 12th.
This isn’t the first time Green and Langley’s dynamic has made headlines. After collaborating on their first duet together in 2024, fans presented the musicians as a romantic couple, but both denied being more than friends.
“Riley was probably the first famous person I ever met,” Langley explained during an interview with Taste of Country in September 2024 at the People’s Choice Country Awards. “He played in the same bars I was in and I played in the same bars as him. It’s cool to see the people from Alabama win.”
She insisted: “We’re not dating. We’re just good friends.”
Green also addressed the relationship speculation during an appearance on the “Viall Files” podcast in December 2024, admitting, “Ella’s probably too smart to date me anyway.”
“When we first had the success that we had with this song, I said to Ella, ‘There’s going to be a lot of things said, but I mean, you don’t really have to get into it or not, it’s going to be something that people will enjoy as much as we do when we listen to these songs,'” he recalls.
The following month, rumors surfaced that Green was seeing a country singer Megan Moroney after posting similar vacation photos at the same time.
Neither Green nor Moroney, 29, commented on the speculation, but some fans were convinced it was a love triangle.
“I’m not dating anyone at all right now. I’m too busy,” Moroney said in November 2025, denying the rumors.
