Hot Wheels Infinite Rush Gets Earlier Release Date and Island Hopping Trailer G Trends

A new Hot Wheels Infinite Rush trailer has been released, the first part of a “Beyond the Track” series, to showcase the open-world racing game’s four distinct islands and regions.

As part of this, Milestone also announced that Hot Wheels Infinite Rush would launch a few weeks earlier than expected, and is now expected to arrive on September 10 (instead of September 24).

Hot Wheels Infinite Rush takes Milestone’s popular Hot Wheels racers into an open world, which will undoubtedly have shades of Forza Horizon or Burnout Paradise. The world will be divided into four island regions: the built-up metropolis of Wheelswood, the rocky seaside of Tentacle Bay, the desert canyons of Gearville, and the East Asian-inspired drifting temples with neon-lit towns, cherry trees, and ancient temples. They are connected by the Launcher teleportation system to jump back and forth whenever you want.

While there are bespoke events to take part in, there are also free activities including Daredevil Challenges to pilot special vehicles and add them to your collection, Delivery Stunts to race to a location without taking damage, a stunt to then smash as many objects as possible, tourist photography tasks and Find the Flame where you race from one location to another without a fixed route. Additionally, you will have boost sections, speed challenges and drift zones, as well as collectibles scattered across the world.

Dom was able to test Hot Wheels Infinite Rush earlier this summer and said: “The concern with Hot Wheels Infinite Rush is that it might be too similar to My First Forza Horizon. It’s definitely aimed at a younger audience, the map isn’t that overwhelming in terms of events, but I still really enjoyed what we were able to participate in. The similarities to Horizon aren’t necessarily a bad thing, and it seems to have enough of its own identity to stand on its four wheels.”
