Suede Brooks thought about their relationship too drakeand claimed he sent her threatening messages after their breakup.
“I was staying on my friend’s boat, and her dad had hired Drake to come to the boat and have a party in Saint-Tropez, and Drake had never been to Saint-Tropez, and so he came on the boat, he came with his friends,” he said Calabasas Confidential Stern, 25, reportedly during an appearance on Sunday, June 28 Bunny Xo‘S “Stupid blonde” Podcast. “It was incredible. He’s such a great guy.”
Brooks continued, “When I met him, I thought, ‘Oh, that’s so cool that he’s coming over on our boat and performing at our party.’ But I feel like the narrative that was spun was that I was kind of trespassing on his territory, and like me, when in reality it was no, he came into our program.”
Drake, 39, and Brooks were first romantically linked in July 2022 after they were spotted together in Saint-Tropez.
“We dated off and on for… I’d say a couple of months,” Brooks recalled Sunday. “I was visiting him in Toronto and then one day I thought, ‘I’m sick of this.'”
When the couple finally broke up, Brooks claimed she feared for her well-being.
“When we ended things, it was very… I was very afraid for my safety,” she claimed. “And in many ways, the things they said to me after living in LA for a long time were very disturbing. I was 21 or 22 at the time, and hearing these things from the most powerful artists in the world, who have so much power and can do the unimaginable with the snap of their fingers, was very frightening.”
Brooks claimed she received threatening messages following their breakup due to a “miscommunication.”
“(I got) text messages saying he’s literally going to have me folded, that’s what he said,” she claimed. “I thought, what for? It was all a miscommunication. He thought I was saying something I wasn’t saying. He thought I was talking like shit about him in LA even though I never did.”
Brooks claimed that after receiving the alleged messages, she did not leave her house for “about three months” out of fear for her safety.
“At least I didn’t go out because I was afraid, especially of someone with that power,” she said. “I know I’ve grown a lot through this and I know he’s grown a lot through this. I think it was emotional for both of us during that time too because it was like a big miscommunication. But he’s so talented.”
Brooks added that she doesn’t feel comfortable talking about their breakup because she still admires Drake to this day.

“I hate to bring this stuff up again, but he’s so talented, I know he has a big heart,” she said. “I wish him nothing but the best for his future. I hope he finds someone he loves and cherishes for the rest of his life. It wasn’t me, and it got to the point where it was almost like I wasn’t physically and emotionally capable of giving you what you need, so I’m stepping away.”
Brooks added that she “didn’t talk to him for a minute” because she doesn’t like talking to her exes after breaking up.
“As soon as you lose me, I’m gone,” she said.
