TFG has put Everton FC up for sale G Trends

The Friedkin Group has confirmed that Everton are for sale.

The club’s majority owners issued a statement this morning announcing they are seeking outside investment and would support a full sale if they found “the right stewards to take the club forward”.

Everton were bought by the Friedkin Group in December 2024, ending an unhappy period under Farhad Moshiri. They helped stabilize the Cub’s finances, refinancing a significant portion of the debt and arranging low-interest loans secured against Hill Dickinson Stadium.

But fans were less impressed with the trade on the pitch as Everton recorded a rare profit in the summer transfer window after selling the likes of Elimane Ndiaye and Beto to Manchester City and Fiorentina respectively.

TFG issued a statement on Friday saying“The Friedkin Group is exploring new investment options for Everton Football Club, including the potential sale of a controlling stake.

“When TFG became guardian of Everton, the club faced a great deal of uncertainty and financial challenges on and off the pitch. The immediate priority was to provide the stability, investment and support needed to secure the club’s future, including helping to complete the long-promised stadium for its deserving fans.

“With that foundation now secure, it is time to look at the next chapter for Everton. We will only have the interest of parties who we strongly believe will be the right stewards to take the club forward and build on the momentum that has been created.

“Throughout this process, TFG’s focus will remain unchanged. We will support the club in every way necessary to achieve success on the field and will continue efforts to make a positive difference in the communities the club serves.”

David Moyes’ side have made a strong start on the pitch They will take their unbeaten record to Hull on Sunday.
