Enrique Masip, advisor to Barcelona president Joan Laporta, launched an angry attack on Real Madrid and Jose Mourinho ahead of El Clasico on Sunday, accusing their rivals of harming Spanish football.
Masip, who serves as Laporta’s advisor, criticized Real Madrid’s behavior amid ongoing tensions between the two clubs surrounding the Negrera case.
Speaking at a Nacex Challenge event at Barcelona Golf Club, the former handballer also took aim at Mourinho, comparing the Real Madrid manager’s behavior to that of Barcelona coach Hansi Flick.
He said: “What Real Madrid is doing is shameful and mistreats the entire tournament.”
“When someone uses these techniques, they are moving forward to cover up their own problems by pointing out their biggest competitor.
“In three and a half years, nothing has ever been proven and will never be done. There has never been anything.

“It has been years since we hinted at dark times in this country when a team benefited and won titles because of this neutrality. Red lines have been crossed.”
Mourinho is targeting ahead of El Clásico on Sunday
Masip has reserved some of his strongest criticism for Mourinho, who is preparing to face Barcelona at Camp Nou this weekend.
The advisor referred to Mourinho’s infamous confrontation with former Barcelona assistant Tito Vilanova, when the Portuguese coach stabbed him in the eye during a heated Clasico in 2011.
“When someone says they see strange things, the strange things are putting your finger on the coach,” Masip said.
“He (Mourinho) is throwing arrows. Watch Mourinho’s press conference and one of Flick’s… Flick, they are Barcelona’s values.”
“For Mourinho and Real Madrid, the blame always lies with the other person,” Masip added.
