The dance teacher of Chad Lowe‘s daughter Fionawho died by suicide at the age of 13 earlier this week, paid a heartfelt tribute to the teenager.
publication via her Instagram on Friday, October 2nd, Kendra Andrews shared a video of Fiona practicing her dance moves in a studio while a woman, apparently Andrews himself, shouts words of encouragement and praise.
“This first video was recorded just a month after losing your home to the fire. You came into the studio like you always have in all the years I’ve known you…excited with a bright, beaming smile and a big, warm hug for me,” Andrews wrote.
She continued, “The next video is our second rehearsal a few weeks later. You obviously spent so much time outside of the studio working hard on fine-tuning and refining. It was incredibly beautiful to witness your passion and determination. I didn’t film when you performed it on stage a few days later because I wanted to be fully present and take it in. I just watched from the wings, heart swelling with pride and my eyes filling with tears of joy.”
Andrews concluded the caption by paying tribute to Fiona, adding that she felt “devastated” by the loss.
“FiFi, I love you more than words can express. It has been an honor teaching you, laughing with you and watching you grow,” Andrews wrote. “Our hearts are broken. We will never be the same without you here. I will miss you and love you forever♥️ Chad, Kim, Mabel and Nixie… I love you and think about you constantly.”
News of Fiona’s death first broke on Tuesday, September 29th. “We are deeply broken by the loss of our beloved Fiona,” said Chad, 58, and his wife Kim Painter52 said in a joint statement.
