Napoli 1-2 Como
Martin Baturina put Como ahead in the 17th minute, before Rasmus Hoglund equalized for Napoli on the half-hour, but Anastasius Dovikas restored the lead for the visitors in the 34th minute, as Cesc Fabregas’ side recorded a stunning win at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Napoli pushed hard for an equalizer in the final minutes and had a goal disallowed for offside late in the match, but Como held on to take the three points.
Como raised his score to four points in the top four, while Napoli remained with three points.
Cagliari 0-1 Inter Milan
Hakan Calhanoglu scored his second goal in as many games to give Inter three points at the Unipol Domus, although the defending champions had to work harder than they would have liked.
It took just nine minutes to break the deadlock, with Nicolo Barella cutting in from the right for Calhanoglu to score, but Inter almost paid the price for their profligacy in front of goal as Marcus Thuram and Alessandro Bastoni both missed good chances.
Cagliari came close to equalizing when Adobo’s powerful shot from 10 yards was blocked by Jan Pesek, before Borelli headed wide from a corner kick.
Monaco 2-0 Marseille
Paris Broner scored a stunning brace as Monaco beat rivals Marseille at the Stade Louis II, with the former Borussia Dortmund man opening the scoring with an unmarked header from a free kick before adding his second to secure the points.
Lamine Kamara ran the show in midfield in what could be his final game for the club amid growing transfer interest, while Marseille, who thrashed Strasbourg 4-0 on the opening day, could not muster enough to trouble Monaco’s defence.
Monaco are the only team to have won their first two Ligue 1 matches this season, with Marseille’s encouraging start taking a backseat.
Celta Vigo 0-2 Athletic Bilbao
Athletic Club made it two wins in a row in La Liga with a win at the Estadio Abanca-Ballaidos, with Gorka Gorozeta and Oihan Sunset naming Ernesto Valverde’s side.
Celta, who drew in the opener, made little progress in attack and lost to Athletic’s direct and energetic approach on the counter-attack.
With this result, Atletico Madrid raised its score to six points from the first three matches, while Celta Vigo remained without a win.
