Marseille 1-2 Paris Saint-Germain
Paris Saint-Germain finally secured their first league win of the season, but it came in dramatic and controversial fashion at the Sepak Velodrome, as substitute Ferran Torres opened the scoring in the 66th minute before Marquinhos scored the winner just two minutes after Marseille’s goal.
Torres headed in Desiree Dou’s cross to put the visitors ahead, but Angel Gomez equalized with a low shot after Amine Jouiri’s pass.
Marquinhos restored PSG’s lead almost immediately, and reacted quickest to Nuno Mendes’ pass.
Timothy Weah was sent off from Marseille late, adding to a miserable afternoon. Geoffrey de Lange was exceptional in goal for the hosts and kept out 31 shots from Paris Saint-Germain for as long as he could remember.
Juventus 2-0 Atalanta
Luciano Spalletti’s Juventus rebounded from two games without a win by defeating Maurizio Sarri’s Atalanta 2-0 at Allianz Stadium.
Francisco Conceicao opened the scoring in the 28th minute after a cross from Zeki Celik, and Bremer added the second goal after the break in the second half, as the hosts executed 11 of 14 attempts.
Milan 3-0 Lecce
San Siro celebrated its centenary with a memorable night, as Ruben Amorim’s AC Milan ended a four-match winless run.
Pulisic opened the scoring before Rabiot, who combined sharply with Goncalo Ramos, added the second goal in the 62nd minute.
Moreira went inside to add the third goal 16 minutes from time, with Lecce protesting at the challenge in the build-up. Maignan produced a good late save to keep the clean sheet.
Fiorentina 1-1 Napoli
Billy Gilmour gave Napoli the lead in the first half with a direct shot from a corner kick, but Fiorentina equalized six minutes after the start of the second half through Alex Jimenez, who shot a long-range ball that hit hard outside the goalkeeper’s goal.
The Viola hit the woodwork twice in the first half and Matias Oliveira hit the post for Napoli in a game that both coaches will feel they got away with.
Villarreal 2-3 Real Sociedad
A five-goal thriller ended at La Ceramica for Real Sociedad as the Basques came from behind to claim all three points in a result that keeps them in good stead in the early La Liga table.
