Arsenal midfielder Eberechi Eze says the Gunners face a “different challenge” this season after finally winning the Premier League.
Mikel Arteta claimed the title in May and also led the Gunners to UEFA Champions League last.
Eze scored in a 3-0 win over Lille, continuing his impressive form. The former Crystal Palace player admitted that the goalkeepers have now moved at the Emirates Stadium.
“We now have a different challenge,” he said. “We achieved something great last season and we want to build on that.
“We are approaching it from a slightly different angle but the mentality is still the same – to be as aggressive and as dominant as possible.
“It’s difficult, every player wants to play. The mentality is always to be on the pitch, influence games and earn your place. I do what I can, and I enjoy what I do.
“I’m always happy to score, influence games, have fun on the pitch and express myself.”
There were only seven minutes and 18 seconds between Jurín Timber giving Arsenal the lead and Bukayo Saka making it 3-0.
The Gunners have so much strength in depth that Arteta should be aiming to win the Champions League this time around.
Arteta said: “It is difficult in the Champions League. Lille is a great team.”
“But winning helps, the energy will be good when we start preparing for Sunday’s game.”
