Turkish club Fenerbahce announced the signing of Mason Greenwood, coming from Marseille, on a four-year contract.
Greenwood moved to the Stade Velodrome in 2024 from Manchester United and enjoyed two very successful years in the south of France.
He scored 22 goals and added six assists in his first season – helping Marseille qualify for the Champions League by finishing second in Ligue 1 – and backed that up with another 26 goals and 11 assists in the 2025/26 campaign.
Super League Giants Marseille paid €39m (£33m) for the 24-year-old, with around £10.5m of the fee going to Greenwood’s former club Manchester United.
Greenwood said: “I’m very excited. It’s been a long process, a long journey, but I’m happy to get the deal done. A lot of effort has gone into arriving at this decision today. It wasn’t a difficult decision to make, I kept my word and I want to show what I can do.”

I can’t wait to join the team, play on the field and meet the fans. It was never difficult to tell when they were interested in me. I want to go to Fenerbahce and show what I can do.”
Greenwood was given the opportunity to revive his career in the south of France after his spell at United ended abruptly when he was charged with attempted rape, controlling, coercive behavior and assault occasioning actual bodily harm after videos surfaced on social media.
The charges were later dropped after new material emerged.
