We turn our attention to Nations League And the final round of matches for our advice for today.
There are eight matches this evening but there are two that caught our attention.
The first is the meeting between Northern Ireland and Hungary at Windsor Park. The opening match between the two teams was a mixed one last week, with Hungary losing 1-0 at home to Ukraine, and the Ulstermen winning by the same score in Georgia.
That seemed to have had an impact on the betting as Hungary took a very attractive 13/8 to secure the three points in Group Two.
However, Michael O’Neill’s men arguably deserve more respect, so we look forward to the chance of a double for Hungary or a draw. As a reminder, Northern Ireland is ranked 68th in the FIFA World Rankings, while Hungary moves up 28 places to 40th.
Our other advice is also a double take and we support France to walk away with at least a share of the spoils of its trip to Belgium.
Zinedine Zidane enjoyed his first match with the French national team, as his team won 1-0 in Türkiye last week. We feel that the trip to Belgium should not bring any concerns for the 2026 World Cup semi-finalists, especially given the fact that France have won each of their last five matches.
Kylian Mbappe, a player for Friday’s match, is injured, so Ousmane Dembélé should be given a more prominent role in attack. We expect the current Ballon d’Or holder to have at least one shot on target.
Our ACCA (odds are from Bet365 and correct as of 12.30pm on 28 September):
Hungary wins or draws with Northern Ireland with a score of 2/5
France wins or draws with Belgium @ 2/7
Ousmane Dembélé scored more than one shot on goal against Belgium on 9/2
