Saturdays are for actually remember that it’s a holiday weekendrather than forgetting and coming in on Monday and being viciously annoyed at Julian and Mark for seeming to ignore your Gchat messages. (They do it anyway, whether it’s a day off or not.)
I actually like to forget it’s a holiday, as long as I remember it before at least 11am. It makes vacation even more vacation. What will you do with yours, assuming you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland? If you reside in other regions, commiserations – please feed the Maw for us on Monday. I’m going to leave the hollow aside. Anyway, let’s see how the rest of Treehouse celebrates the Gamescom hangover.
Jacques:
This whole ‘Tarnished Edition’ thing is giving me the Elden Ring itch again. Either way, every edition is surely tarnished, just as you are tarnished. Tasked with standing before the Elden Ring. Become an ancient lord. What a sad situation.
Brand:
Probably a little more of that secret game I mentioned last week, with maybe a little Forza or NBA 2K sprinkled in if I have time. Apologies for being silent for two weeks straight.
Julian:
Considering I was late to the start of Opening Night Live because I was playing Blood Dungeon, then played it throughout the stream on the Steam Deck, and was late to play on nights when I really should get some sleep before Gamescom dates, I think I’ll play Blood Dungeon.
Dion:
Why did you abandon me, Dion? Has there been greater wickedness than this, that a publisher should be denied his net share of Wappities?
Ollie:
I’m still recovering from my illness, so I expect the majority of playtime this weekend will continue to be spent on Mortal Shell 2, so my solution can catch up with the player base. Otherwise, probably a good relaxing Trackmania.
Call:
What about you, Callum? Ingratitude, demon with a heart of marble, more hideous when you show yourself in a guidebook writer than the sea monster!
Jeremiah:
I’m planning to take some downtime from video games this weekend, as I’ve had a few too many third-person action adventures with tough bosses and parry mechanics lately. Instead, my wife and I will be installing new edging in our garden, which is something of a boss fight in itself, but at least one that requires less expert timing.
Edwin:
This weekend I’m playing a game that rhymes with Freddo’s Pielines, published by, uh, let’s call them Contradiction Interactive. Yes, I know “contradiction” isn’t really synonymous with what I’m referring to, stop knocking me out.
And you, dear reader, what are you playing this weekend…?
