Aston Villa have agreed to sign Alejandro Garnacho on an initial loan from Chelsea.
according to Multiple reportsThe two Premier League clubs have reached agreement on a temporary deal that will become permanent if certain conditions are met.
If the deal becomes permanent, the 22-year-old will sign a four-year contract at Villa Park.
This news comes after Chelsea confirmed the signing of English attacking midfielder Morgan Rogers from Villa in a deal worth £117 million, a record for a British player.
Garnacho’s arrival represents a gamble by Villa, whose team has already changed dramatically from the one that won the Europa League and finished fourth in the Premier League last season, ensuring a return to the Champions League.
In addition to Rogers, star midfielder Youri Tielemans has left for Manchester United, with Villa signing midfielder Joao Gomez and Swiss World Cup star Johan Manzambie.
Garnacho, the 2024 Copa America winner, was not present at the World Cup, having endured a disappointing season with Chelsea following his move from Manchester United.
He has scored just one goal and provided four assists in 24 Premier League appearances as the Blues sit in 10th place. Garnacho scored eight goals in all competitions.
However, Villa boss Unai Emery seems to believe he can get the best out of Jarnacho. For a team looking to continue on an upward trajectory after losing a valuable asset, it is very important that they prove themselves right.
